Catherine H. Yelenic,87, of Vermilion and formerly of Thompson passed away Friday, April 10, 2009 Amherst Hospital in Amherst. Born April 15, 1921 in Perry to Vina & Archie Peterson and married George M Yelenic, Sr. in Leroy in 1951. She enjoyed going to yard sales, making quilts, crocheting, sewing, and spending time with her family. She is survived by Daughter, Darlene Cottos of Madison; Sons , Dennis (Sue) Yelenic of Vermilion, Harvey (Linda) Jokinen of Florida, Harold Jokinen of Texas, Kenneth (Sheryl) Jokinen of Trumbull, OH, Richard Jokinen of Florida, David (Pam) Wolf of North Carolina; 8 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; Sisters, Marian McCarthy of Florida, Julia Browder of Virginia Beach, VA; Brother, Pete Peterson of Columbus, OH. She was preceded in death by Husband, George in 1993; Parents; Brother, Cliff Peterson and Sister Edna Peterson Friends will be received 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Monday, April 13, 2009, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Funeral Service will be 10 am, Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Rev. Harley Wheeler of Thompson United Methodist Church will be officiating. Final Resting Place will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Thompson.
