Carolyn R. Dunagin

GENEVA - Carolyn R. Dunagin, age 79, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 29, 2015, at Geneva Village Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, where she had been a resident the past 5 years. She was born June 22, 1936 in Geneva, Ohio to Ruth (nee Smith) and John Dixon.
Carolyn was a graduate of the Platt R. Spencer High School. Right out of high school, she was a telephone operator for Western Reserve Telephone Company in Geneva. Carolyn retired from Alltel of Ashtabula and was a member of Park Street Christian Church.
She is survived by daughters, Cheryl (Doug) Farren, Linda Berrier, and Patricia Palmer all of Geneva; grandchildren, Phylicia Palmer of Ashtabula and Patrick Palmer of Geneva, Brianna and Brandon Berrier of Geneva; brother, Richard Dixon of Geneva and Florida. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; brother in infancy, Bobby Dixon; sister, Virginia Kitson of Ashtabula.
No calling hours will be observed. Burial will be in Saybrook Township Cemetery, Ashtabula, Ohio at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015, with family and friends invited to pay respects. Pastor John Munday will be officiating. Arrangements are being handled by The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio 44041
The family would like to thank the nurses and aides from Geneva Village for their loving care of their mother. Special thanks goes to the Hospice of Western Reserve for their care in Carolyn's final days.
