Carol McGee, age 77, of Madison passed away on February 2, 2024. She was born on December 22, 1946 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Carol worked as a shipping and receiving manager for Kalcor Coatings for 36 years before retiring in 2015, where she enjoyed many of those years working side by side with her mother. Carol was a baker, she loved to bake! Whether it be a birthday cake of your choosing for all those that she loved, those that she worked with, cookies for the holidays, or making candy, she loved to bake and share with all. Around the Christmas holiday, you would find Carol spending countless hours in the kitchen baking with her granddaughters, her niece, or with anyone that wanted to join her. Carol also had a love for Christmas time with all of the decorations throughout her home. Carol also enjoyed the many trips that she had taken with her family and dear friends to wherever they wanted to go. Carol would go and do just about anything that they wanted to do, where they enjoyed countless hours of laughter and fun on those trips. Carol’s infectious smile and laughter would light up any room. She is survived by her sons, Ken (Dave Bucceri) McGee and Jim (Janet) McGee; granddaughters, Jenna and Amanda McGee; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Claire Joan Greene; father, Robert W. Smith; and sister, Joan Drake. The family would like to send special thank you to the staff at Madison Health Care, Elara Caring, Charlene Drake, Brittiany Manypenny, and Danielle Manypenny. Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, from 4-8PM at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison.
