C. Darrell Potter, age 56, of Madison, Ohio, passed away at home February 23, 2014 while surrounded by his family. He was born August 29, 1957 in Pennington Gap, Virginia, to William and Juanita (Leonard) Potter, and married Sharon Brown July 20, 1985. Darrell joined the U. S. Marines in 1976 and was honorably discharged. He became a certified welder and worked at NPK Manufacturing. Darrell was a motorcycle lover and enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. He was an incredible jokester with a great sense of humor. Darrell is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughters, Mellissa (Jason) Elmore, Jessie (Nick Hancock) Potter; son, Kenny (Katie) Potter; grandchildren, Matthew, Gabriel, Jesse James, Corbin, Myles, Ryker, and future grandbaby Potter; mother, Juanita Potter; and sisters Kathy Tomsic and Lisa Dodge. He is preceded in death by his father William and sister Linda Hall. Friends will be received from 2-6pm Sunday, March 2, 2014 at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River St. Madison, Ohio, 44057. Darrell's final resting place will be at Rittman Cemetery where private family service will be observed. Contributions may be made to the Potter Family.

  1. In the Marines I proudly served with Darrell at camp Geiger around camp Lejuene area 77 to 78.
    I was a scout with eighth Marines and knew him and his wife Ruth. Genius mechanic! He was quiet and reserved and drank his beer like it was oxygen he was a good man he will be missed
