April 25, 1957 ~ February 4, 2023

A beloved member of Thompson, OH, Brenda Mace, peacefully passed away February 4th, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born on April 25th, 1957, to James & Edith Mace in Painesville, OH. Brenda spent her life helping other people. From being a life flight nurse, to a Madison Fire Fighter/EMT, and also working with the disabled.  She always chose paths in life that allowed her to do what she enjoyed most, which was sharing her kind, caring, and giving heart with others.  Brenda loved fishing, and always had a great passion for animals. She was obsessed with elephants, and even more obsessed with the Cleveland Browns. Brenda loved watching the Cleveland Browns, at her home surrounded by her vast collection of elephant trinkets, and all of her Elvis memorabilia.  Breast Cancer and Lymph Node Cancer were no match for her because she came out ahead both times as a survivor.  Brenda enjoyed catching up with family and friends regularly with a cup of coffee, and a great conversation.  Of all that she gave to the world, the greatest gift given to her were her children and grandchildren. Being a mother and grandmother fulfilled her life with an unbreakable bond. After the passing of her daughter, she dedicated her life to raising her youngest grandson, Kyle, and made sure he had a life filled with love and opportunity. Brenda is survived by her son, Rollin (Angela) Cooke IV of Chardon; grandchildren, Kyle (Olivia Johnston) Aleshire of Thompson, Aubrey Cooke of Mentor, and Daniel (Autumn Miller) Drake of Painesville; siblings Sheila (Thomas) Nelson of Painesville, Sharon (David) Nelson of Geneva, Joe (Jeanette) Mace of Geneva, Patty Miller of Madison, and Charles (Genny) Mace of Madison; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is proceeded in death by her daughter, Barbara (Barbie) Conrad; father, James Mace, mother, Edith Mace; and siblings, Mike, Butch, Jack and Danny. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00p.m. Tuesday, February 14th, 2023 at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St. Madison, with funeral services to follow from 4:00-5:00p.m. End of life celebrations/burial will be held on February 18th at 2 pm at Madison Memorial Cemetery, 3055 Arcola Rd.
