Bonnie Zachowski-Cain, age 68, of Ashtabula, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Monday, October 16th, 2023 at Ashtabula County Medical Center. She was born February 2nd, 1955 the daughter of Jack and Dorthy (Smallwood) Gleason.  Bonnie married her beloved husband, Kenneth R. Cain, on July 28th 2016. Bonnie was retired, formerly an Executive Assistant at University Hospitals.  She enjoyed crocheting and spending numerous hours tending to her garden and flower beds. She also enjoyed fishing and spending time at the local beaches of Lake Erie. Last, but not least, baking was very special to her.  Bonnie loved baking with and for her friends and family, especially with her grandchildren, who have many great memories baking christmas cookies with "Nonnie". Bonnie is survived by her husband, Kenneth R. Cain; her son, Daniel (Sonja) Zachowski; her daughter, Tiffany (Ron) Zajac; her Grandchildren, James, Timothy, and Nora Zachowski - Kayleigh, Zsofia, and Layla Zajac-Inola and Seamus Cain; father of her children, Jim Zachowski; former brother-in-law, Ed Zachowski; and her nephews, Patrick (Linda) Foss, Scott (Traci) Foss, Todd (Sara) Foss, and Robert (Rachel) Foss. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Dorthy Gleason, and her two sisters, Barbra Foss and Patty Gleason. Honoring Bonnie’s final wishes, no public funeral services will be held.  A small memorial service for immediate family will occur at a future date, where her ashes will be scattered into Lake Erie.  Please feel free to share a story or heart felt message below.  In leiu of flowers, donations can be made to her memorial fund: https://gofund.me/24e3adc6
