Bonnie Kay Snyder, of Madison, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2024 at Hospice House in Euclid, OH. Bonnie was born on March 10, 1952 in Cleveland, OH to Gerald and Martha Joan (Mower) Eckard. She was a 1970 graduate of Riverside High School and life-long resident of Lake County, OH. Bonnie married her high school sweetheart, Lester L Snyder on Oct 17, 1970. Bonnie was a devoted mother and wife. She was an at-home-mother in addition to holding various part time jobs at different times in her life. The most notable being a banking associate of the former Peoples Savings Bank in Fairport Harbor where she and Lester raised their family. Bonnie was a very busy person and held her family and friends in high regard with all she did. She was an avid lover of music, playing various instruments, and played bass and backup vocals in a small local three piece band in her younger years. She also enjoyed bowling and was a former secretary of the Lake Geauga Women's Bowling Association. She was a 2000 graduate of Lakeland Community College with an Associate’s degree in Business w/ emphasis on microcomputing. During the last 20 years, Bonnie took a great interest in genealogy being a longtime member of the Lake County, Ohio Genealogical Society where she held the positions of both Secretary and President at different times. She was also a long time member of the Blair County, Pennsylvania Genealogy Society as well as the “First Families of Blair County, Pa.” Bonnie is survived by her husband Lester Snyder; sons, Jeremy Snyder (Michelle) and Jason Snyder (Nicole); daughter, Jessica Jones; grandchildren - Morgan, Paige, Bobby, and Faith and great grandchildren - Rosalie and Annastasia. She is preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Bonnie Snyder to the Lake County Genealogical Society or Hospice of the Western Reserve PO Box 72101, Cleveland, Ohio 44192.
