Billy C. Cooper

Billy C. Cooper, age 80, of Perry, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born October 14, 1941 in Madison, Wisconsin, to Helen (Green) and Claire Cooper. Billy was a Navy veteran during wartime on the USS Laffey. After his discharge he worked for the Blind Center in Madison, WI until retirement. Billy enjoyed his Green Bay Packers and wearing his cheese head. Not too many games did he miss! He is survived by his fiancé, Patricia Grimes; children in Ohio, Melanie (Mike) Novey, James (Jen) Grimes, and Lorrie Osborne-Hirko (Kyle), along with 4 other children in Wisconsin who will be having a service for him there. He also enjoyed numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty Vesterfelt; son in law, Tom Hirko; granddaughter, Cara Grimes; and his beloved dog, Dixie. Friends may call Sunday, May 15, 2022, from 3-4pm at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio, 44057. Funeral service will follow at 4pm, and will include military honors.
