Billie Lee Mooneyham, age 73, of Madison, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 4, 1948 in Cleveland, the son of Grover L. and Maggie B. (Yates) Mooneyham. He married Rebecca Ann (Scheve) on June 28, 1980.

 

Bill graduated Madison High School in 1967 came home to Madison in 1971 after honorably serving in the US Marine Corp. When he met Becky he was a band member in Moon’s Tunes. He enjoyed Bowling at North Ridge Lanes where he bowled several 300 games. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and Honda’s with his friends and in laws. In 2003 he and Becky moved to North Carolina for 10yrs while the grandkids grew up. He missed his Madison community, Ohio family and Lake Erie thus moving back to Madison in 2013.

 

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; daughter, Tracee Scheve; son, William Mooneyham; grandchildren, Elijah, Zakare, Gabriel and Victoria; great-grandchildren, Emsley and Greyson; brother, Norm (Onnieta) Steele; sister, Patricia (Albert) Bensky; sister-in-law Nadine.

He was preceded in death by his parents Grover and Maggie; and brother, Albert Mooneyham, and brother in law, Harold Scheve Jr. 

 

Friends will be received 6-8 pm Tuesday, March 22, 2022 and 11 to 12 pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison. A Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday.
