Bill Goodrich, age 59, of Geneva, Ohio passed away Friday, August 19, 2016 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. He was born November 1, 1956 in Sidney, NY the son of Polly Hine Johnson and William Goodrich. He married Deb Stamper in Geneva on August 25, 2001. Bill worked as a Truck Driver for Hornish Brothers and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. A talented drummer he played in several bands over the years including the Country Gems, the Wild Ones, and City Limits. He also valued the time spent with his family as well as his two dogs, Maggie and Sadie. He is survived by his wife, Deb of Geneva; children: Billie Jo (Jason) Oliver of Mt. Upton, NY, Jolene (Ed) Fletcher of Colorado Springs, CO, Benjamin (Olivia) Hinkle of Willoughby, and Nathan Shahan of Geneva; grandchildren: Hunter and Austin Oliver, William Wilson, and Aggie Hinkle; mother: Polly (Bob) Johnson; sister: Peg (Bob) Ross of Bainbridge, NY; and brother: Perry "Pep" (Nikki) Goodrich of Syracuse, NY. He was preceded in death by his father, William. Friends and family will be received from 5:00 to 8:00pm on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway in Geneva. Funeral Service will take place at 10:00am on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the funeral home with committal service following at Alexander Harper Memorial Cemetery in Unionville. He came into my life when I was only 10 years old as my brother inlaw but was like a big brother, friend and idol.   4. I am thankful to have known him. He was my brother-in-law, but more like my brother. We didn't see him that often, but when we did, it would be as if no time had passed. Our sons, truly loved their Uncle “Gene”. It was always a fun time. Pep and Gene with all their antics and teasing. There will be a gap that Gene is missing from for all of us. Love to all, and prayers that God's Love will touch and bring comfort. I'll miss you Gene, we all will.
