Beverly Mae Rathbun

Beverly Mae Rathbun, 85, of Perry, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15, 2024, at the David Simpson Hospice House. She was born on August 29, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Robert Koeth and Margaret (Brennan) Koeth.

Beverly was a proud graduate of Mentor High School. On July 19, 1958, she married her beloved husband, Allan D. Rathbun. Together, they shared 66 years and raised three children.

Beverly worked for many years in the Perry Schools cafeteria and at the Madison Country Club. She was an active member of her community, enjoying time spent at the Perry Senior Center and volunteering with the Perry Historical Society.

She is survived by her husband, Allan; her daughter, Bonnie Rathbun; and her son, Jack (Patti) Rathbun. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Tiffany (Darryl) Jackson, Taylor Rathbun, Miranda (Michael) Herczeg, and Alexandra (Andrew) McNeil; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Brittyn, Leah, Harper, Luka, and Merritt. Beverly is also survived by her brother, Robert (Marilyn) Koeth.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Thomas Rathbun; and her daughter-in-law, Carrie Rathbun.

A celebration of Beverly’s life will be held in the spring of 2025, with her final resting place at Perry Cemetery.
