Beverly Jean Getzy, age 82, of Madison, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 10, 2024. She was born February 6, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan, to Mary (Borngen) and Russell Sprague.
Beverly worked at the Lake County Board of Elections for over 40 years where she was awarded for her service. She was also a member of the Lake County Democratic Women’s Club. Over the years she enjoyed being a part of the Madison Garden Club and the Joy Circle.
She is survived by her children, Debbie (Jim) Horton, John (Barb) Getzy, Theresa (Jeffrey Hennen) Brotzman, Andrew (Linda) Getzy, Todd (Jenna Alfieri) Getzy, Donny (Sherri) Rudeski; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; siblings, Elaine Phelps, Sandy (Tom) Maynard. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John J. Getzy, Jr.; brothers, Edward Sprague and David Sprague.
Friends will be received 4-6 pm Thursday, January 18th at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison with a service immediately following at 6 pm at the funeral home. Online obituary and condolences may be viewed at www.behmfuneral.com
