Betty Gray

Betty A. Gray, age 76, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Sunday February 10, 2013, at Tri-Point Medical Center in Concord Township. She was born in Milton, Massachusetts to Grace (Remick) Irwin and Alfred S. Irwin on March 29, 1936. Betty married John Gray on February 12, 1956, in Boston, Massachusetts. Betty was a member of the Mentor and Madison Senior Centers for 30 years, and she very much enjoyed organizing & planning events; she was affectionately known as "Betty Bus Trip." She was an avid cat lover who regularly donated to the humane society, and did everything she could to help the seniors in her community. Above all, Betty was a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother who deeply loved her family. She is survived by daughters Deborah Hink of Willoughby, Cathy (Terry) Bryan of Rome, Carol (Robert) Lingenfelter of Thompson; son, Stephen Gray of Madison; grandchildren, Leon Medvec, Kevin, Matthew, Christopher & Kelsey Hink, Emily & Daniel Wilson, BJ and Ronnie. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and her daughter Linda Marie Gray Medvec. Friends will be received 4-6 p.m., February 18 at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, OH, with a memorial service following at 6 p.m. Contributions may be made to the family, as well as Madison Senior Center, 2938 Hubbard Road, Madison, Ohio, 44057.
