Bernard F. "Bernie" Morgan Sr.

Bernard F. "Bernie" Morgan Sr., 77, of Perry, passed away Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at Lake Med Nursing Home in Painesville. Born March 20, 1934, in Alvey, W.Va., to Emma Jane (George) and Logan Clair Morgan, he married Zeffie Pierce Nov. 14, 1955, in North Carolina. Bernie worked in manufacturing as a laborer for Diamond Alkali. He was a great father who enjoyed life. Survivors are his two sons, Bernard Morgan Jr. of Painesville and Jamie "Peewee" Morgan of Painesville; stepson, David Janda of Painesville; sister, Juanita McClintok; brother, William Morgan; special nephew, Kermit Spencer; daughter-in-law, Janet Morgan; two grandchildren; and stepgrandchildren, Elizabeth Valardo and Johnathan Pierce. He was preceded in death by his wife, Zeffie Morgan; parents; and several brothers and sisters. No visitation will be observed.
