Barbara Jean Rigby

Barbara Jean Rigby, of Ashtabula, Ohio passed away on April 8, 2024 peacefully at her home after battling years of health issues. She was born February 8, 1961 in Painesville, Ohio.
She is survived by her fiancé and best friend Don Arendas. She also leaves behind her brothers, Douglas Rigby, Richard (Del Rae) Rigby, Timothy (Deborah) Rigby and sister Susan (Edward) Gordon along with her nephews Paul Phillips, John Rigby, Daniel Rigby, Ian Rigby and Joseph Rigby; her nieces Brandy Rigby, Trisha Green, Rachael Rigby, Laura Rigby and Tegan Rigby.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Janet Rigby and sister-in-law Andrea Rigby.
Barb enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, going to and watching Indians games. Before her health issues she worked as a loan officer in Ohio and Arizona.
There will be no calling hours but a Celebration of Life will be held at Events on the Avenue (Former Knights of Columbus by YMCA) 987 Mentor Avenue, Painesville on Saturday May 18 from 1pm-4pm. I had the pleasure of knowing Barbara when she was feeling well. It wasn’t long that her health spiraled downhill. I love and adore the Rigby and McCoy families as they are all mighty fine and good people. Always helping one another. Supportive and caring. Barb was very helpful in the days of staying with her mother after an aneurysm almost took her life. She did all she could until her own health made her have to relinquish her own abilities to help any longer. Sending love and thinking good thought out to all of the family.
