Barbara J. Cassidy, age 84, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024 at home. She was born to Clem and Genevieve (Zelis) Belock May 12, 1939 in Cleveland.
Barbara was a switchboard operator for most of her life. She was also an avid reader, and loved crochet and weaving. She made all kinds of incredible objects with her talents. She often did volunteer work and cleaned regularly at St. Vincent de Paul Church.
Barbara is survived by her sons, Joey, Brian, James; her daughters, Katherine Thomason, Mary Cassidy, Jennifer Cassidy; and her sisters, Cynthia Sadonick and Dianne Behrens. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Shawn, Timothy and David; and sister, Arlene Flynn.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 10AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 13400 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44114. Final resting place will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Barbara’s name to your favorite charity.
