Barbara A. McHarg, 88, of Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio, passed away Friday, July 3, 2009 in Geneva, Ohio. Born April 24, 1921 in Lenox to Eva (Richardson) & Abner Nichols She was the owner/operator of Woodbine Cottages, Henry?s and Woodbine Beauty Shop at Geneva-on-the-Lake. 1939 Graduate of Geneva High School. Former Mayor of Geneva-on-the-Lake where she also served as a Councilwoman. Barb was the former secretary for the Geneva-on-the-Lake Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church where she helped with Bingo and also was a member of the Ashtabula County Democratic Party. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Husband Henry McHarg, her Parents; Brother Schubert ?Red? Nichols and Sisters, Blanche Frost & Adah Boyle. Friends will be received 10-11:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at Assumption Catholic Church, 594 West Main Street, Geneva, Ohio. Rev. John Mulqueen will be officiating.
