Audrey E Bodle

Audrey E. (Bell) Gagliardi Bodle died February 4th, 2012 in Medina, OH at the Western Reserve Masonic Community due to complications from Alzheimer's disease. Audrey was a long-time resident of Madison, OH for over 50 years before she relocated with her second husband, John H. "Jack" Bodle, to Medina in 2006.
Mrs. Bodle graduated from St Luke's Nursing School. During her career, she worked as an RN in Lake and Geauga County hospitals and as a school nurse in the Madison Local School District. She was a member of Chapel United Methodist Church in Madison. Until recent years, Mrs. Bodle regularly kept up with friends and family by phone and cards. Her closest friends fondly called her, "Ding", her nursing school nickname. She spent many happy hours following the activities of her children and grandchildren and was also an avid fan of all Cleveland sports teams.
The only daughter of Reginald and Veda Bell, Mrs. Bodle was born in Savannah, OH on July 8, 1928. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gerald Parker Bell; first husband, Vincent Gagliardi; second husband, John H. Bodle, and step daughter, Mrs. Nancy (James) McBane.
Mrs. Bodle is survived by three sons; Charles, Michael, and Thomas Gagliardi of Ft. Myers, Florida; two daughters, Mrs. Teresa (Brad) Oswalt of Alabama and Mrs. Karin (Tim) Wilson of Canal Winchester, OH; step son, William Bodle of Carrolton, OH; and step daughter, Mrs. Susan (Stephen) Cross of Atlanta, GA. With her combined families, Mrs. Bodle was grandmother to 16 and great-grandmother to 16.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the funeral home. Final Resting Place at Fairview Cemetery in Madison Village. Services will be officiated by Rev. John Germaine.
