Arthur William Cleversy Sr., age 84, of Madison, passed away December 1, 2020 at his son's residence in Alabama. He was born April 6, 1936 in Cleveland, the son of Warren and Edith (Kent) Cleversy. He married Wanda Hutson on September 11, 1954 in Painesville, Ohio. Arthur worked several jobs throughout his career including construction and proprietor of Hubbie's Video in Madison. He was a Member of Chapel United Methodist Church in Madison and volunteered his time with the Madison Senior Center. He enjoyed gardening, remodeling, and old movies, especially Westerns. In his earlier days he was an active leader with the Boy Scouts. He is survived by his children, Betsy (Dennis) Mull, Arthur Jr. (Delight) Cleversy, Dana Cleversy (Rebecca Wolfe), Cheryl Gyure, Craig Cleversy, Dennis Lee (Mary) Cleversy, James (Barb) Cleversy, Tricia (Matthew) Taylor, 25 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; sister, Caroline (Richard) Hauser and companion Joyce Stone. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Wanda W. (Hutson) Cleversy; parents; siblings, Raymond, Richard, Bruce, Everett, Warren Jr., Marian Benyak, Alberta Wright, Yvonne Kidd, Virginia Ledford, Edith Raines and his dog, “Dudley”. A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Perry Cemetery with Pastor Lenore Robinson of Chapel UMC officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Arthur’s name to the Madison Senior Center, 2938 Hubbard Rd., Madison OH. 44057, or to his church, Chapel UMC, 2019 Hubbard Rd., Madison.
