Arlene M. (Horak) Svoboda, 79, peacefully passed away Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Rae Ann, Geneva.
Mrs. Svoboda was born March 22, 1929 and graduated from Garfield High School in 1947. She was a Rainbow Girl and worked as a secretary for a Cleveland bank. She met her ?Eddy? at a wedding being the prize of a coin toss for breakfast after the reception. She married Edwin A. Svoboda August 11, 1950. Then she devoted herself to raising her son and daughter while enjoying homemaking, gardening and her favorite?gossiping
Mrs. Svoboda is survived by her brother, Willis ?Bill? Horak, Cleveland; daughter, Jo Ann (Tom) Zanzig, Madison; son, Jeffrey (Linda) Svoboda, Maryland; niece, Beth (Marty) Ott, Hamilton, OH, nephews, Bill Horak, Kansas City, John Horak, California and Joe (Norma) Horak, North Ridgeville.
She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Ed Svoboda and her parents Anthony and Lucy Horak and the other love of her life, Binkee.
The family would like to send special thanks to the loving and caring staff at Rae Ann in Geneva for loving this special woman.
As she requested, there will be no public services.
