Antoinette "Toni" Thomason

Antoinette "Toni" Thomason, age 89 of Austinburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Rae Ann Skilled Nursing Facility in Geneva. Born July 18, 1925 in Cleveland she was the daughter of Frank and Antoinette Knize. Toni had a feisty personality and a love for animals. She truly enjoyed her time spent watching the birds and listening to polka music. A wonderful baker she was known for her famous apricot horns. She is survived by her daughter: Christine Laurenzi of Streetsboro; sons: Raymond (Louise) Thomason of Streetsboro, Joseph Thomason of Austinburg, and James Thomason of Geneva; grandchildren: Tiffany, Scott, Anthony, Patty, Donovan, Jennifer, Ryan, Beth, and Katie; great grandchildren: Raymond, Jenaviev, Bethany, Jonathan, Tiffany, Jacob, Sarah, Brandon, and Colten. Toni is preceded in death by her Husband Raymond, her Parents, Brother: Joseph Knize, Sister: Mae Bejcek, and Son: Al Thomason and his wife Laurie. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12 noon on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Assumption Catholic Church, 594 West Main Street in Geneva with Fr. Robert Lanterman officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30am at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 South Broadway in Geneva. Final resting place with be with her husband Raymond at Footeville Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be made to the Ashtabula APL.
