Anita Marie Welker Age 86 Resident of Geneva, Ohio Passed away Saturday, April 3, 2010 Austinburg Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Austinburg, OHIO Born June 20, 1923 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Lillian & William Edmunds Married Bud Welker on September 3, 1947 Occupation: Farmer Memberships and Affiliations: Mrs. Welker served her country as a nurse and member of the U.S. Navy in World War II. On this adventure she met the love of her life, fellow WWII veteran, Bud Welker. Those close called her Marie. Warm, friendly and loved by all that knew her. Nurse, wife, mother, grandmother, she enjoyed quilting and crafting. It seems she could always turn everything into a masterpiece no matter what the project was. Marie accompanied her husband on many horseback riding and RV trips across the country. She also partnered with her husband and ran a successful grape farm as well. She is survived by Husband of 62 memorable years together, Bud Welker of Geneva Daughter Bonnie Herrick of Geneva, OHIO Sons Edmund Welker Allen Welker Sister: Ruth Rabine Several grandchildren and great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents No visitation will be observed Private Family Services were held.
