Andy J. Totin

Andy J. Totin, age 83, of Painesville passed away Friday March 29, 2013 at Kemper House in Mentor after a brief illness.
He was born August 15, 1929, in Hubbard, Ohio. Mr. Totin attended Hubbard High School. After serving in the Army Air Corps, he started his career in the Ohio Highway Patrol. He went on to serve over 20 years of public service in Lake County as County Clerk of Courts. He was active during this time in the Republican Party. Mr. Totin was also the owner of Angelas Pizza in Painesville from 1962-1981. He was a long time member and past Exhaulted Ruler of the Painesville Elks Lodge #549 and served on the Concord board of zoning appeals.
Mr. Totin is survived by his wife, Barbara (Carruthers) Totin, whom he married April 30, 1955; two children, Andrew James "Jamie" of Concord and Alan Jay of Powell; two grandchildren, Emilie and Matthew, as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday, April 5, 2013 from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. followed by a 2 p.m. service at First Church Congregational, 22 Liberty Street, Painesville, OH 44077, officiated by Rev. Thomas J. Cofer and Deacon John Motis.
