Andrea Louise Rigby
June 30, 1960 ~ January 11, 2024
Andrea Louise (Putzke) Rigby, 63 of Perry, Ohio passed away on January 11, 2024, at University Hospital Cleveland after battling years of heart issues. She was born June 30, 1960 in Madison, Ohio. Andrea was retired and previously worked for Riverside Schools as a Special Needs Assistant and Bus Driver for Laketran.
She is survived by her best friend and loving husband, Douglas A. Rigby; loving children, daughter, Rachael of Madison, Ohio and son, John Rigby of Cleveland, Ohio. She also leaves behind her brother, Wiiliam Putzke and niece, Sarah Putzke both of Marietta, Georgia; her nephew, Nolan Putzke of Nashville, Tennessee; her grand dog Alfred and many loving family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Nancy and William Putzke.
Andrea enjoyed camping, traveling where she and Doug would be sure to find historic and unusual places and fun dining options on each trip. She was a terrific cook finding and sharing recipes on Facebook and let everyone know how they turned out. She loved all of the Cleveland sports teams and cheered them on whenever they were playing. She would be the first one to reach out to help her family and friends if it was to bring something to a party or help them whenever they needed it.
There will be no calling hours but a Celebration of Life will be held at Events on the Avenue (Former Knights of Columbus by YMCA) 987 Mentor Avenue, Painesville on Saturday May 18 from 1pm-4pm. God,I’ve known your family forever,we played baseball together, rode our bikes all over Leroy, then the Beatle, your wedding, our kids went trick or treating together,I don’t remember not knowing you! I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I loved Andrea and I will miss her deeply. I’m here for you
My love and prayers to you all- Andrea was a wonderful person.
I worked with Andrea at Laketran. I was one of her bosses. She was very well liked, very caring and it was a joy to know her. I am saddened to hear of her passing and offer my sincere sympathy to all. I remained friends on FB and enjoyed all of her different adventures she took and enjoyed. May you cherish all your memories and know that others are thinking of you to offer you peace and comfort. May God hold you in the palm of his hands. I am so sorry….. A friend indeed, Nancy
Praying for you Uncle Doug, Rachel, and John. My heart hurts for you.
I am very sorry for your loss of Andrea. We had a blast working together at the hardware store. Take Care, Debbie Concanon
