Alma Victoria Bloom

Alma Victoria Bloom, age 93, of Madison, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Geneva Shores from the infirmities of old age.
Alma was born on January 20, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio to Josephine (Tomsic) and Konrad Lauric, the tenth of eleven children in the family. The Lauric family moved to a small farm on County Line Road in the mid-twenties. Alma graduated from Madison High School in 1939. She wrote to and worried over her Army Air Corp sweetheart, Kenneth Bloom during his twenty-eight months of battle duty in North Africa during World War II and after his return married him on February 16, 1946.
A member of Immaculate Conception Church, Alma enjoyed attending church activities, spending time with her family and friends, knitting and solving crossword puzzles.
Alma is survived by her youngest sister, Dorothy Mavko of San Francisco, fourteen nephews and nieces, including her guardian nephew Conrad Rinto and his wife, RuthAnn, and many great and great great nieces and nephews. Her special friends, Mark and Julie Pelton and Sharon Koschar, also survive her.
Preceding her in death was her parents, her husband, her brothers, Ted and Adolph, her seven sisters, Josephine, Olga, Sylvia, Sally, Mildred, Helen, Ann and her beloved dog, Zsa Zsa.
Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church on Saturday, October 10, 2015 with a Rite of Christian Burial Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Lauric family plot at Madison Memorial Cemetery.
