Allan E. Wilbur age 86 a resident of Thompson, Ohio passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2007 Blossom Hill Care Center in Huntsburg, Ohio. Born September 16, 1920 in Thompson, Ohio to Jessie (Haldane) & Roy J. Wilbur. Married Doris Dewey in Thompson, Ohio on November 21, 1942. Worked as a mechanic at R.W. Sidley and formerly at Landmark Feed Mill. A 1937 graduate of Thompson High School. Member of Thompson United Methodist Church. Served as a Rifleman Instructor & Technical Sergeant during WWII in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his Wife of 64 years Doris Wilbur of Thompson; 2 Daughters Claudia (Vern) Crookshanks of Thompson & Paula Ruck of Trumbull Township; 3 Grandchildren Adam, Kay & Scott Ruck; 2 Sisters Elgin Watson of Rochester, NY & Margaret Lantry of Apopka, FL; 2 Brothers Robert Wilbur of Orlando, FL & Dean Wilbur of Apopka, FL. He was preceded in death by her Sisters, Elizabeth Wellington & Alma Wilson Friends will be received 2-4:00 & 7-9:00 pm, Friday, May 25th at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, OHIO. Funeral will be 10:00 am Saturday, May 26th at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, OHIO. Rev. Harley Wheeler of Thompson United Methodist Church will be officiating.
