Alice Marie AukermanAge 94 Resident of Harpersfield Twp., Ohio, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Cardinal Woods Skilled Nursing And Rehab in Madison, Ohio. She was born January 8, 1918 in Westpark, Ohio, to Mabel (DuMound) & George Sylvester. Alice married Ray Olin Aukerman in Cleveland, Ohio on December 7, 1935. She was a sales clerk in Gift & China Depts. at May Co. and Carlisle's Department Stores. Alice was a charter member and first President of Geneva F.O.E. # 2243. She was a charter member of Harpersfield Cinderellas, former member of Grace Notes Comedy Band, and member of the Order of the Eastern Star since 1981. Alice enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles. She is survived by: Daughters;Emily (Richard) Savel of Harpersfield Township Mabel (Rel) DeAngelis of Harpersfield Township 5 Granddaughters 8 Great-Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Aukerman; Parents; Brothers, Edward, James, George, and Robert Sylvester; Sisters, Beulah Warmuth and Ruth Kapferer. Friends will be received 2 – 4 and 6 – 8:00pm on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am on Friday, August 3, 2012 at the funeral home. Rev. Bruce Hitchcock of Geneva First United Methodist Church will be officiating. Final Resting Place will be at Alexander Harper Cemetery, Unionville, Ohio. Contributions may be made to Geneva First United Methodist Church, South Harpersfield Methodist Church, Cardinal Woods Activity Fund, or Odyssey Hospice.
