Alice L. Carter Cribbs

Alice L. Carter-Cribbs, age 89, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2007, at Winchester Place Nursing Home in Canal Winchester, Ohio.
Born February 7, 1918, in Ashtabula, Ohio, she was the daughter of Goldy (Carle) and Claude Trask and was a 1936 graduate from Kingsville High School.
She was a homemaker and also worked at Sears for 17 years.
She was a longtime member of Kingsville Baptist Church, a nursing home volunteer, an avid reader, loved music and working in her flower garden.
Survived by her daughter, Bertha Carter of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Ronald (Virginia) Carter of South Carolina, and Leland (Betty) Carter of Ashtabula; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter, Florence; 1st husband, Eugene Carter; 2nd husband, Chalmer Cribbs; and her sister, Doris Cooper.
There will be a Graveside Service 12 p.m. noon, Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva. The Rev. David Hines, of Kingsville First Baptist Church, will be officiating.
