Alexander D. Kovach
July 8, 1942 ~ June 15, 2018
Alexander D. Kovach, passed away peacefully at home on June 15, 2018. He had been battling cancer for 9 years. He was born July 8, 1942 in Berwick, Pennsylvania; Alex served 4 years in the United States Coast Guard before settling in Madison, Ohio. He was active in many clubs and organizations in the community. He was retired from Kennametal after 29 years of service.
Alex is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Marlene (nee Ogden) Kovach; their two sons, Kevin Kovach and Keith Kovach; a brother, Allen; sister, Shelly and many loved nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Alex is preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother, Caroline and brother Bob Farver.
Friends will be received on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 1-3 p.m. at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057 with a service immediately following at 3 p.m. Mr. Pat Collins will be officiating the service. Contributions may be made in Alexs name to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 5786 Heisley Road, Mentor, Ohio 44060.

Aunt Marlene, Kevin, and Keith, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Uncle Al. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Reading the obituary, I recalled good times we had in Madison, going to the lake, trips to Cleveland to see baseball games, and hanging out at your house.
