Albert H. Sonny Rose, Jr., age 79 of Geneva, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Geneva Village Retirement. He was born July 22, 1939 in Geneva to Catherine (Freede) and Albert Rose. On December 28, 1991, Al married Carol T. Vass in the city where he was born. Al was a man of faith. He was a member and a deacon of the United Church in Geneva. He was also a man with a passion for sports, playing both football and softball. He enjoyed Cleveland Sports Teams, Ohio State Football, and following the NASCAR races of Dale Earnhart. He coached Ladies Softball, and always loved the game. Most of all, Als life was enriched by his family, especially his grand and great-grandchildren. Al is survived by his wife of 27 years, Carol T. Rose; his daughters, Cheri (JR) Angulo, Pam (Tom) Brumagin, Karen Kaydo, and Kathy (Bob) Rosebrugh; 4 stepchildren, Shelly (Glenn) Waters, Russell (Kandy) Mullen, Darla (John II) Gluvna, Mark (Jodie) Mullen; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren with 3 on the way; sister, Kay (Jim) Wamsley; and sister-in-law, Lori Rose. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Dale Rose. Friends will be received from 10 to 1 pm Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio 44041. A Service will follow visitation at 1pm in the funeral home, with Pastor Bryan Manary officiating.
