Albert Rankel
March 21, 1926 ~ August 22, 2018
Albert Rankel, age 92 of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Madison Health Care. Born March 21, 1926 in Črni Potok, Slovenia, he was the son of the late Anton and Anna (Fink) Rankel.
Shortly after WWII, Albert immigrated to the United States and settled in Trumbull where he loved working his farm. Early on, he would take his vegetables to the market in Cleveland and eventually provided Christmas Trees to local families. He loved going to auctions, and he enjoyed spending time with his four-legged friend: Chubby.
Albert is survived by his daughters: Mary Ann Rankel, Margaret Ball, and Albertina Rankel Fowler; grandchildren: Marija, Christopher, and Lindsey Fowler, Zachary and Ashton Ball; great-grandson: Gabriel Fowler.
Friends and family will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 27, 2018 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Committal Service will be held at Rock Creek Cemetery following the service.
The family suggests contributions be made in Alberts name to Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road, Madison, OH 44057.

My condolences to the Rankel family. I always enjoyed visiting Al. He was my neighbor across from my property in Thompson. He always had interesting stories especially about doing battle with the beavers we had in our creek next to his property and mine. Goodbye my friend and say hello to my Mom and Dad.
