Adeline Lyons

Adeline Lyons, age 95, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019 at her home. She was born January 4, 1924, in Cleveland, OH the daughter of Samuel and Rose (Wulliger) Levin. She married Ben Lyons in Cleveland, OH on November 22, 1949. Adeline worked for the US Postal Service in Madison for 24 years. She was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 601 and a member of NARFE. Adeline loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting, reading, theater, traveling, dinners out and working as a volunteer. She is survived by daughter, Laura Haynes; grandsons, Brian (Julie) Kallay, and Shaun (Kimberly) Kallay; great-grandchildren, Cody, Abigail, Evan, Rose, Piper, Dylan. She was preceded in death by her husband Ben; her parents; and two brothers. Friends will be received 1—2 pm, Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, OH with a Service following at 2pm and celebrated by Addie’s family. Final Resting Place will be Madison Memorial Cemetery in Madison, OH. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Madison Fire District, 840 River Street, Madison, OH 44057.
