Thomas “Tom” Lang Mahusky, age 62, passed away August 9, 2021. He was born May 26, 1959 to William and Janet (Lang) Mahusky. He married Brenda Lee Hutson on August 31, 1991 in Chesterland.
Tom was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He held the position of deacon for “The City” the church that he deeply valued. Tom was a great outdoorsman and enjoyed telling others that he was a lifetime member of the NRA. He enjoyed hunting, both with rifle and bow. For years he belonged to Sports Junction, where he competed with crossbow. One of his favorite past times was gardening with his wife Brenda, and spent hours canning their fresh produce. Most of all he loved being called “Papa” by his grandchildren and relished spending time with them.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughter, Danielle (Chris) Gregory; son, Ryan Johnson; six wonderful grandsons; siblings, John Mahusky, twin sister, Marilyn Mahusky and sister, Sarabeth (David) Mahusky-Petras. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received 4-5 pm Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison with a Memorial Service following at 5 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Tom’s name to Seidman Cancer Center, 9485 Mentor Ave., Suite 3, Mentor, OH 44060 or Missions 22, 694 N. Larch St. #910, Sisters, OR 97752 (a suicide support mission for veterans and their families).
