Shirley R. Say, age 93, passed away at Cardinal Woods Skilled Nursing Facility, in Madison , OH., on Thursday, February 3, 2022. Born February 28, 1928 in Butler, PA, she was the daughter of the late George C. Wright, and Opal (Martin) Wright.

Shirley served as an Organist and Choir Director at Meridian Presbyterian, St. Andrews Presbyterian, and Bethany UCC in Butler. Also St. Andrew’s Presbyterian, in Sun City, FL, and PCOB in Brandon, FL.

Shirley loved music and singing especially in Barbershop Quartets, enjoyed playing card,and domino games, plus bingo. She was in a couple’s bowling league, competed in ballroom dancing, and besides her family she loved her cats and flowers.

Shirley is survived by her children, Karen (Larry) Hutchison of Riverview, FL., Keith(Diana) Say of Chicora, PA., Brian(Ruth) Say of Madison, OH., and daughter-in-law Valerie(David) Say, of Gibsonia, Pa.; 29 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband William Say; sons, David Say and Dennis Say; and granddaughter, Kristen Chepelsky Morris.

Dear Mom….I’m the luckiest person to be raised by a caring, loving Mother. From my childhood to adulthood, I’m a reflection of you. You and Dad gave me everything I needed to be successful, and I know you did your best. I’m grateful we had you for so long, and for the Christian upbringing I follow to this day. I looked out the window for a sign you made it to your eternal home safely …and behold two Cardinals appeared on a tree close to my view, one even pecked to say hello. You and Dad , together, a sign of angels.. missed but never forgotten
