Sherrill “Sherry” Lee Ferrell, age 84 of Tucson, AZ, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at the Arizona State Veterans Home. She was born on November 14, 1939 in Geneva, Ohio the daughter of Clifford and Mable Hurst.
After graduating from Geneva High School in 1957 Sherry received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Fenn Nursing Academy.  She then entered the Air Force in June of 1964 attaining the rank of Captain, resigned her commission in 1970. She married Floyd J. Ferrell on April 10, 1971 at United Church in Geneva, Ohio.
Sherry is survived by her brother, Dr. James (Ingrid) Hurst and his children, Camille Guerin and Anders Hurst and their families; step son, James D. (Vickie) Ferrell and their children Eric, Eron, and Emma; step son, David W. Ferrell, and his sons, Jeremy D., Patrick A., Ryan C. and David W. Jr.; step grandson, Christopher “Nick” Ferrell; and survived by 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Peg; and husband, Floyd; step sons, John M. and Christopher K. “Kelly” Ferrell.
A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00am on Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 South Broadway in Geneva. Friends will be received at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Dorset Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
