Ronald Allen (Butch) Nelson, 72, was born on October 11th, 1949 to Walter and Betty (Ficker) Nelson. Ron resided in Salem, Ohio. He passed away peacefully on November 21, 2021, while surrounded by family.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father. Ron leaves behind his children, Paul (Kimberly) Nelson, John Nelson, Leeann (Tom) Bibby, Peter (Tina) Nelson, Sarah (Stefan) Rosellini, Malcolm Phillips; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Linda (Ray) Karosas, Walter (Kathy) Nelson, Kathy (Bill) Hotchkiss, Beverly Brown, Jeff Nelson, Judy (John) Doebereiner, and Denise Nelson; loving companion, Rhonda Nelson; life long friend, Patti Carlton; and many loved nieces and nephews and extended family.

Ron was a Christian, a dedicated family man and an incredibly hard worker. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids.

A short service with light refreshments celebrating his life will be on Friday at Eagleville Bible Church 1981 State Route 45 Rock Creek, Ohio from 6-8pm. All are welcome to come and share our happy memories at this time.
