Ray Lawver, age 92, of Madison, passed away March 2, 2022 at UH Conneaut Medical Center. He was born May 12, 1929 in Painesville. He married Nancy J. Mackey on July 19, 1951 in Crystal Beach, Canada.
Ray worked as an electrician for Uniroyal. A talented woodworker he made everything from cabinets to barns. He proudly served our country in the United States Army and was a member of the VFW and the Eagles in Geneva as well as American Legion Post 112 in Madison. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends.
He is survived by his sons, Terrance (Sandy) Lawver, Darrell (Valerie) Lawver, Victor Lawver; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Lawver; brother, Ted Lawver; son Ray Lawver Jr.; and daughter-in-law Sandy Lawver.
Family and friends will be received from 2-5 pm on Sunday March 13, 2022 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 South Broadway in Geneva. Funeral service with military honors will begin at 5 pm at the funeral home.
