A Celebration of Life service for Patricia J. Scoville of Geneva will be held at the Madison Seventh-day Adventist Church at 725 East Main St. in Madison on Sunday, May 19th at 2pm.

Mrs. Scoville died on April 20, 2024 while in hospice care after a fall; she was 87. Born May 20, 1936 in Middletown, New York to Harold V. and Nedra M. Quick of Madison, she was a lifelong Seventh-day Adventist. She graduated from Mt. Vernon Academy in 1954 and attended Washington Adventist University in DC. She was a trusted member of the Madison SDA Church and volunteered there as organist and treasurer.

Pat served our community for 29 years as a school bus driver for Geneva Area City Schools, and was a proud member of OAPSE. Her occupation placed her in contact with some of our area’s most needy children. She is remembered for directing charitable assistance from area churches to those families who needed it most.

She was a devoted wife and loving mother who enjoyed birding and playing piano; she specialized in raising Orchids. She was surrounded by an around-the-clock family vigil and passed away in peace, both in body and with the Lord.

She survived two husbands, Gerald F. Walton of Saybrook, and Arnold R. Scoville Sr. of Geneva. She is survived by three sons and a daughter, Douglas (Sherri) Walton, David (Alicia) Walton, Arnold Jr. (Kelly) Scoville and Dawn (Grant) Merriman; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pat and her late husband Arnold’s cremains will be interred privately at Fairview Cemetery in Madison. Friends not attending the May 19th service may leave a voicemail for David at (330) 861-9752 to arrange for floral deliveries on May 17th.
