Nancy Cooper, age 83, of Madison, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023 at UH Geauga Medical Center. She was born August 3, 1940, the daughter of Lee and Peg (Yea) Linton. She married Judson Cooper in Wickliffe, OH on March 9, 1968.
To know Nancy, was to Love Nancy!. Though there were many difficult times throughout her life, her faith in God was strong and unwavering knowing the Lord was at her side. Nancy knew how to care for others. She worked as a registered nurse and enjoyed home healthcare and hospice care before her retirement. After her son experienced a tragic accident, she became involved with the National Head Injury Foundation and sat on the Cleveland board. She rose in support of the American Disabilities Act (ADA) both locally and in Columbus which eventually passed. Nancy was a facilitator for family support groups at Heather Hill Nursing Home.She was a member of St. Anne’s Anglican Church in Madison. As a young woman she enjoyed golfing and reading, and more recently cheering on her favorite sports teams and sitting on her back deck enjoying the birds.
She is survived by her brother, Mark (Joyce) Linton, nephew, Brock (Tracy) Linton and niece, Amy (Brian) Roudabush, Laurel’s children-Spencer (Julia) Reyerson and Taylor Reyerson, also nephews, Curt Niebes, Ron (Marie) Niebes and their sons Kevin and Nick, Chris (Julie) Neibes and their twins, Haley and Jake: “loving son”, Flake (Sue) Vannoy and their son Gage.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Judson; cherished sons, Jason and Tyler; her parents; and sister, Laurel Linton.
Family and friends will be received 12 – 1pm, Friday, March 15, 2024, at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison Ohio 44057. Funeral service will follow at 1pm.
