He graduated from Mayfield High School in 1975 where he still holds a record of at bats in a single season. He worked for over 30 years as a chemical operator at Lubrizol in Painesville.
He met his wife, Cynthia, of 41 years in 1980. They were wed on November 7th, 1981. They went on to have 4 children, Rebecca, Matthew, Jillian, and Marisa. Michael lived for his family where they spent many summers vacationing in Maine. He shared his eclectic taste of music with his children. He was an avid animal lover; he always had a dog by his side. He enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavs, although they often let him down year after year. Michael was a connoisseur of all things delicious – where he could often be quoted as saying “I could never be skinny; I love food too much”. In his later years, he enjoyed spending his time watching the game show network and spending quality time with his granddaughter Chloe.
