Madeline Cole, age 88 of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at UH Geauga Medical Center in Chardon. Born January 25, 1935 in Painesville, she was the daughter of Bert and Jennie (Ink) Dilday. She married Raymond Cole on January 26, 1952 in Perry.

Madeline had many interests, she was an avid Madison Boosters bingo player for 30 years; an avid Steelers fan and she enjoyed shopping, camping, quilting and craft shows. She truly enjoyed traveling with her husband, Raymond. Most of all Madeline loved getting together and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond; daughters, Lorna Hart, Alice (Dave) Jeppe, Jeannette (Paul) Cole, Jennie Lynn Cole, and Dawn (Mark) Hinz; son, Raymond B. “Curly” Cole, Jr.; 20 Grandchildren; numerous Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren; sister, Sheila (Bob) Armstrong. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandsons, Jerry Cole and William, Thomas, and Bobby Herron; sister, Carol Coolidge; her brother, Jack Dilday and son-in-law, Butch Hart.

Friends will be received: from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Perry Cemetery. There will be a gathering after the service at Mr. Lee’s on Route 84 in Perry so bring a dish and a smile.
