Lynn Thomas Cox, a resident of Rae-Ann Geneva, Ohio, age 88, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022.

He was born August 7, 1934 in Kirtland, Ohio, the son of Mable Lina (Archer) and Mason Thomas Cox.  He was married for 52 years to Lynn Irene Cox, who preceded him in death.

Lynn, a veteran of the Korean War, served our country in the Unites States Air Force as an Airman First Class from 1952-1956, receiving the National Defense Service Medal for his work on B-47 bombers.   He was employed by the Tomen Agro Corporation and worked as a chemical processor after his military service.

Lynn believed in living a simple life, turning to the earth and nature as his life long companions.  He loved organic gardening and tending his property.  He was an avid fisherman which he pursued as often as possible.  For him, nothing beat the tug at the end of a line.  He was a gun enthusiast, both collecting and firing at the range.  He also was a dedicated outboard motor hobbyist, spending many hours rebuilding old motors.  He longed for the wild and wonderful outdoors, finally taking a trip of a lifetime to Alaska in his later years.  This wilderness experience touched his soul so deeply that he carried it with him through the end of his life—the outdoorsman’s heart.

He is survived by his children Nadine Cox, Meredith Gompertz, and Matthew Cox;  his siblings Celia Kepic, Grace (Thomas) Penty, and Charles (Lois) Cox.  Remembered at this time, his siblings Eulalia Cotten, Archer Cox, and Nancy Katekaru, who preceded him in death.
