Linda Brafford Montanaro Ragan, age 77, of Tonopah, Arizona, passed away November 12, 2022, at Hospice of the Valley.
Born February 15, 1945, in Painesville, Ohio to Lunda Brafford and Mary Brafford (Tabone).
She graduated from Madison High School in 1963 and then received a bachelor’s degree in Business Education from Kent State University, continued her education at Arizona State University where she received her master’s degree. She was a retired school teacher that taught at Geneva High School and Arizona Metro Tech. In 1995 the Western Business Education Association awarded her Business Educator of the Year. She received many awards from the State of Arizona while teaching.
Linda enjoyed traveling to different countries and being with her family.
She is survived by her ex-husband, Joseph Montanaro, of Glendale, Arizona; and their children, Melinda (Jim) Sebert (Montanaro), Joe Montanaro, Melissa (Steve) Montanaro, Jason (Tracie) Montanaro; ex-husband, Frank Ragan, and step-daughter Amber Ragan. Linda had ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Peggy (Paul) Sites (Brafford) of Tonopah, AZ; an uncle, Elmer Brafford of South Point, OH; an aunt, Nolly Kinker (Brafford) of Waverly, OH; and an aunt, Joanne McNeil (Tabone) of Rockledge, FL. She was preceded in death by, her parents Lunda and Mary Brafford, step-mother, Arlene Brafford (Stewart) and step-brother, Albert Lee Stewart.
