Janet Rader, age 73, passed away Monday, February 29, 2016 at UH Geauga Medical Center. She was born in Cleveland on November 3, 1942, the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Skube) Gerchman.
Janet was a graduate of Madison High School. Her passions in life were cooking, baking, canning, and sewing. She especially enjoyed painting ceramics and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Janet loved driving in her 1981 Z28, 500 hp, 396 Camero with her partner in life, Jim.
She is survived by her “partner in crime”, Jim Houston of Madison; daughters, Julianne Nolan and son-in-law James C. Nolan Sr.; Sandra M. Rader, grandchildren, Stefani Hines, Rachael Rader, Jennifer Nolan, James Nolan II, Jacquelynn Nolan. Other persons dear to her, Cindy Miley, Jimmie R. Houston, Jr., Timothy Hughes, and Gabrille L. Houston, Chelsea (David) Wickman, Joshua Rader, Geoffrey (Katie) Rader. She leaves behind many cherished friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Friends will be received 10 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio with a Memorial Service following at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Larry Wade will be officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Lake County Humane Society, 7564 Tyler Blvd., Building E, Mentor, OH 44060
