Born: March 21, 1909 in Canton, West Virginia to Jessie (Knight) & James Goff Hayes. Married Asa E. Britton at Reynoldsville, WV on July 28, 1927. Membership/Affiliations: The ?Heart? of our family, Irene loved life, flowers, and the Atlanta Braves. Survived by: Daughters; Leora Murray of Madison, OH Gerri Zapp of Pensacola, FL Bonnie (David) Bond of Madison, OH Daughter-in-law; Helen Britton of Madison, OH 16 Grandchildren Many Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren. Preceded in death by: Husband and Parents. Daughters; Doris Jean Helsel, Jessie Pauline Britton, and Ruby Hoak. Son; John Samuel Britton. Sisters; Virginia Kathleen Lee and Dorthea Leona McCune. Brothers; Clair Wilson Hayes, Gerald Leon, Wendell Eugene, and James Lester Hayes. Grandchildren; Debbie Bond Brown, James McVey, Ray McVey, Greg Helsel, and Doug Gerak. Friends will be received: 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at The Behm Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 26 River St, Madison, OH 44057.
