George E. Leonhardt, 68, of Perry, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023 at Tri Point Medical Center in Concord. He was born to Helen W. (Wlodarski) and Carl B. Leonhardt on February 7, 1955, in Cleveland, Ohio.

After graduation from Eastlake North High School, George became manager at a local McDonald’s. He then started at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant, and retired after 23 years, having worked his way upward from the mail room to a regulatory compliance position. In his “spare” time, George was a successful real estate agent. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and gardening, all while spending time with his family and friends. George had incredible Faith in Jesus Christ, that he loved to share with anyone he met. He loved to encourage others with his uplifting spirit.

George is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; children, Allyson (James) King, Brandon Leonhardt. He joins his parents, and twin brother, Carl N. Leonhardt in Heavenly Glory.

Friends and family will be received 11am – 1pm, Monday April 17, 2023, at Painesville Assembly of God, 10949 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Painesville, Ohio 44077. Funeral service will follow immediately at 1pm.

I'm so sorry to Nancy and and family. My heart hurts to know that I wont see his post in Facebook on the daily word... he was an amazing men of God. I worked with George at the Perry Plant, including the years he supported the Operators in the Control Room. We stayed in touch after he moved on to other opportunities and then retirement.
