Eileen Froelich, age 66, of Geneva, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022 at UH Cleveland Medical Center, due to complications of surgery. She was born November 10, 1955 in Cleveland, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Leach) Colavecchio. She married Dave Froelich on August 31, 1985.
Eileen was co-owner, along with her husband, of The Old Mill Winery in Geneva. She was a loving mother, wife and devoted grandmother, spending most of her time with her grandchildren. Her family was her life. She was always found helping others being involved in the community. Eileen enjoyed vacationing somewhere near a beach, gardening, dancing and listening to our local band families. She had a love for St. Patrick’s Day, always wearing green on that day; please share her love by wearing something green.
She is survived by her husband, Dave; daughters, Amy Balsiger, Sara (Joe) Jordon, Katie (Alex) Traves; grandchildren, Dominic, Lacy, Lily, Addison and “Baby on the way” Khloe; as well as many loved nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jessica; brother, Gary Colavecchio.
Friends will be received 4-8 pm Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison. A private family Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 18th at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Kingsville.
