The Ohio State University lost one of the best damn fans in the land over the weekend when Danny Pavisich, age 74 of Leroy Township, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the Lantern of Madison. Born November 16, 1947 in Cleveland, he was the son of the late Iso and Anna (Stojkovich) Pavisich.

Danny served honorably in the Vietnam War as a part of the First Cavalry Division. Danny was a hard-working member of Local 33, the Sheet Metal Workers Union. He enjoyed putting his girls to work in their childhood, painting various sheet metal constructions and stacking wood for the wood-burning stove. Danny was an avid Buckeyes fan, waiting intently each week for Saturday afternoons. He loved the peaceful countryside of Leroy and often cruised the long empty roads on his Harley Davidson. He was an avid gardener and often visited friends and family with large bags of produce to share. Danny could often be found working on various household projects and playing James Brown on the radio at full volume. He loved all animals, but especially his dogs. Walking in the woods near his house with his dogs, Jet and Libby, was a favorite daily activity.

Danny is survived by his daughters Marta Pavisich, Dana Pavisich (Diego), and Hailee Leimbach-Maus (Dan), former wife and friend of 25 years, Vickie Leimbach-Ungers, and siblings Lilian, Rose, George, Emil, and Jim. He is preceded in death by his siblings Emily and Milan.

A Celebration of Danny’s life will be held from 2:00pm – 4:30pm on Saturday, January 29th, at the Environmental Learning Center, located at 7250 Alexander Rd. Concord Twp., Ohio, 44077. Please come and share stories with the family. The family asks that if you play a musical instrument, please bring it and play. But please, no Barry Manilow.
