Christopher John Lorente, age 48, of Madison, Ohio passed away peacefully at home after a year’s battle with cancer on Friday, March 22, 2024. He was born August 22, 1975 in Painesville, the son of John and Kathy (Gaynor) Lorente and John Lorente. He grew up here in Madison, Ohio. He is a Madison High School graduate of 1994. He worked at Infasco of Mentor, Ohio for 19 years and Dayton Freight of Mentor, Ohio.
Chris married the love of his life, Rachel (Lekutis) Lorente on October 30, 2021. They had a daughter Layla Lorente thereafter and she was her daddy’s pride and joy in life. Chris has two stepsons, Markell and Tyrell McDonald of Madison also.
Chris lived life in the moment and fought fiercely with his battle with cancer all the way to the end. He had a wonderful personality and was the life of the party. He had many names he went by “Taz”, “Big C”, “Big Dawg” and “Oakybear”. There has never been a bigger fan for NASCAR than Chris. His love was for sports especially his Cleveland Browns. He enjoyed fishing, camping, cookouts and golfing as long as it didn’t interfere with his NASCAR. He loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rachel Lorente; daughter, Layla Lorente; step-children, Markell and Tyrell McDonald; mother, Kathy Lorente; sisters, Jeni Gephart (Adam), Toni Lawrence (Mindi) and many nieces and nephews he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, John Lorente.
Friends will be received 3-6 pm Friday, April 5, 2024 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison with a Service at 6 pm.
