David Albert left a message on January 8, 2024:
I’m sorry to have just learned about her passing. My deepest sympathies for your family. I had the pleasure of working with Betty through the post office when I arrived at Geneva in 1975. I really enjoyed going to meetings with her. And sometimes when I’m talking about the post office with other people, I tell how Bettywas the last political appointee to a postmaster in northeast Ohio and people are surprised to hear that postmasters were appointed politically. Again my condolences.

I loved spending the summers in Ohio and being with my gramma Betty. We both loved musicals and would watch Brigadoon and Singin in the Rain over and over. When we would go out during the day she would record her stories on a VHS tape so she could watch them later, I am still impressed that she knew how to set up a scheduled recording on a VCR. I loved to watch her play the piano and we would sing, "Mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy". She was a lovely woman, a real lady.
